| Start to Tacen World cup with parallel slalom |
|
Opening to Tacen slalom world cup 2011 was prepared in the center of Ljubljana with a fast head to head slalom race and a big crowd cheering to the competitors. The battles were almost epic, as the best whitewater athletes showed their skills to the public that gathered on the banks in the old city center. K1 women category was dominated by sandiLiner Corinna Kuhnle (AUT), winning in the finals to Kate Lawrence (AUS). C1 and C2 categories were cleared by the French over Slovenians in the finals, with double Picco/Bisso being in front of Božič/Taljat and Martin Thomas winning over Benjamin Savšek. But the biggest was left for the end. Vavra and Pero made a shoulder to shoulder final runs, with new sandiequipe member Peter Kauzer finishing both times just slightly in front of another sandiEquipe member Vavrinec Hradilek. A lot of luck to everybody at Sloka!
