Four sandiliners in top 10 in Weymouth

World’s best sailors have again gathered in Weymouth where the last Olympic games were held, this time for the World Cup Regatta.

In Finn class Giles Scott won another gold at World Cup regattas, although he has finished last in the medal race. Second and third place went to New Zealand to Josh Junior and Andrew Murdoch. Two sandiline team members finished in top ten with Jonathan Lobert in 5th and current European champion Ivan Kljakovič Gašpič in 7th. Vasilij Žbogar, third from the last Europeans is recovering from a bike injury back home in Slovenia.

In Laser class a very good job did Jasper Stalheim finishing in 9th place. Gold medal went to German sailor Philipp Buhl.

In Laser Radial Mathilde de Kerangat again finished among top 10 sailors proving that her level of preparation is getting better and better. Dutch Marit Bouwmeester won the regatta this time.
