Two medals for sandiline at Finn Europeans
Split, Croatia has after 2010 again hosted Open European Championship for Finn class. This year’s championship was a very demanding regatta that was held in both strong and light winds was dominated by sandiline sailors, especially Croatian Ivan Kljakovič Gašpič - Bambi, who has won the Finn European Champion title for the second time.
“This is my fourth European title in Split, after the Optimist and Laser youth and the Finn in 2010. It's a pretty consistent record. This was also one of our qualifying events for the Olympics.”
Bronze medal went to another sandiliner Slovene Vasilij Žbogar for whom this is a 4th consecutive medal on Finn European championships.
Runner-up was a non european sailor Josh Junior from New Zealand.
Some time ago we have, as a part of a joke, proclaimed that the Finn class could be instead named after our company as, apart from all sailors having the same boat and sail size dimensions, our gear is used by majority of sailors, including the majority of top sailors. This has just been proven to be still true …
We really can’t be more happy to serve sailors achieve their dreams …
