The first big race of the year has concluded on the last day of January in Miami, Florida where the majority of world’s best sailors gathered to test their preparedness before even more important events take place.
In the Finn class our gear dominated again. The majority of best sailors wore our hiking pants proving them to be still the sailors’s best choice for this season. And not only our hikers proved to be in a good shape, also our team members (sandiliners) excelled at the event. Most notably, Croatian Ivan Kljaković Gašpič - Bambi finished second just after currently best sailor in the class Giles Scott. Another sandiliner Vasilij Žbogar finished in a great fifth place.
In the Laser Radial class sandiliner Mathilde de Kerangat from France did an excellent job and finished sixth among 79 sailors. She performed very well in the medal race as well, where she finished second!
American Charlie Buckingham sailed very good in his own waters as he concluded the race in 7th place in the laser class.
Stay tuned for other news from sandiline …
