Charlie joins the sandiline team as a Laser standard sailor campaigning for Rio 2016. Despite missing out on the London games, 2012 saw a great year for him with multiple medal race appearances at ISAF World Cup events, a silver medal in the ISAF World Cup series, and an Olympic games experience coaching his training partner at London 2012.
He also started off 2013 with a bang, achieving a bronze medal at the ISAF World Cup Miami. He is currently ranking world No. 8th on the ISAF ranking list.
Charlie is very motivated to be the best he can be for the US Olympic trials and eventually the Rio games and if his trajectory in 2012 and 2013 is any indication of what lies ahead, the future looks good for Charlie.
Here are his first impressions regarding some of our products:
-Honestly the best sailing Lycra I have every worn. Great product
-The hand and waste cuffs do a very good job of making sure it stays low on your waist and arms.
-It is tight fitting to your body and arms, while allowing much needed mobility
-Very tight fitting on the legs and waste, making them comfortable and secure during competition
-I like the smooth finish on the hiking pads, it gives a nice "stick" to the rail
The only things I have noticed on them are the following, that the shoulder straps loosen over the course of a training session or race, requiring frequent adjustment & they get a bit heavy when wet, which might be an issue in light air (I know there is no easy solution to this, just a comment)".
We already took note of his (and other) feedbacks and are trying to find solution to improve our products even more.
