Mathilde De Kerangat 1st on ISAF rankings!!!

On the 21st October new ISAF fleet racing rankings were published. And Sandiliner Mathilde De Kerangat is the lead!!!
We can't be more happy to tell you this splendid news …

We had difficulties reaching Mathilde in China due to China's restriction policy for a comment about her latest results. Yet she is back home now and was happy to give us a commentary about World Championship (she didn't finish in top 10) and World Cup (3rd place) in China.

"About the worlds, the wind was in majority light and quite shifty without much current. I think the results can be mainly explained by the preparation of the girls: I think Tina Mihelič really prepared herself for this event, she was becoming better and better during the season (won the mediterranean games, 5th at europeans…) while other girls, like me, started to to exhausted of such a long season!

I knew that I was going to the worlds just 3 weeks before the event, so I had to prepare myself very quickly. I had a bad beginning of regatta, I was not very good on my starts and it was very important as the fleet level was high. I managed to sail better during the finals and I succeeded to do very good races so I finished 13th. I am satisfied with this result and looking forward the next world championship, because I know I am now close to the best girls.
Then I went to Qingdao for the world cup, this was decided when I was in Rizhao, so I had to forget my tiredness and try to focus for one last week. The conditions were very hard: the wind was light and the current incredibly strong. I had a good week, and finished 3rd, my first podium in a world cup event.
I am happy with the end of my season, today I am ranked 1st at the ISAF world ranking which is nice to see!"

Deniss Karpak's latest successes

Deniss Karpak, Estonian sandiliner that aims at gold medal on the next Olympic games, has achieved some outstanding results recently. In the end of September he won Estonian finn championship for the 5th time in a row. He then moved to Garda, where he won International Finn Cup in Malcesine, where 56 competitors from all over the Europe were gathered. And in the middle of October he took part of the last regatta in Eurosaf Champions cup, where he was sailing against big names, such as Jonathan Lobert, Thomas Le Breton, Mark Andrews, Scott Giles and Piotr Kula. He finished 2nd, just after Giles. Sandiliner and olympic medallist Jonathan Lobert was 4th.

We are very proud of his successes and are decided to support him with the best sailing gear.
