Mathilde de Kerangat 3rd in China

After a bit more than 5 years after the Olympic Games in Beijing, have the worlds's best sailors came back for the next big event, this time for the World Cup Regatta. Among many sailors, was there our Mathilde de Kerangat. Lately she has been performing really well and so did she this time with winning a bronze medal. We are so proud of her!! We wish her luck on the future events as well.

It looks as history repeats. Let's remember, in Qingdao, where this world cup and olympics for sailing were being held, our Vasilij Žbogar won silver medal in Laser Standard class.

Last World Cup Regatta of the season will be held in Melbourne in approximately 1 month.

Laser europeans

This year's Laser Standard and Laser Radial european champion was held in Dublin, Ireland. New European champion became Tonči Stipanovič from Croatia. In Radial fleet local Annalise Murphy won by a huge gap of 22 points.

Sandiliner Mathilde de Kerangat finished on the 11th place. "I am happy with my result, although I would, of course, prefer to be in top 10. Yet I finished 11th european and regarding the conditions it is a good result because it was windy all the week, very shifty and the shifts were very hard to anticipate. And this is not the conditions I like the most. Last year I was 8th in the europeans in Hourtin (France) but the wind was lighter and the fleet level was lower, so I think I am more satisfied with my 11th place this year."

The view to the fleet was really nice, as the number of sandiline equipped laser class sailors is growing rapidly.
